Slip Lace Dress with a Japanese Kimono

All Personal Style
Man, these photos are old as my love for Hulk Hogan! I didn’t have the time to post them, because of my preoccupied schedule of being an unproductive sponge!

I’ve been told slip dresses don’t go well with combat boots or sneakers. But then again, I’ve been told to get a job, get married, have kids and then die, and look how much of that I’ve accomplished! You got that right- NONE! So I’m going to wear my slip dresses with sneakers, I’m going to scratch my ass at home 24/7 and I’m going to love every minute of it! Boohyah!

Do you guys have something in particular which people are trying to tell you to do, but you stubbornly refuse to do it?

These photos were taken before I disappointingly devoured a whole plastic bowl of gazpacho. I say disappointingly, because the gazpacho was too healthy. Yes, the term “TOO healthy” is an actual thing. I like my gazpacho with tons of unhealthy stuff in it, the one I got was like a salad…sigh! Such are the problems of a jobless sexy model.

I’m loving my birdie kimono from Choies. It’s perfect for covering up vulnerable parts of the skin. I thought it would look great with my blue platform sneakers and my thrifted lace slip dress. The lining underneath the slip dress was too long and I wanted the lace details to show, so I used my Godly scissor skills to cut it. I think it looks 10 times sexier this way. No? Yes? What? Potato?

  1. Oh my word, I have a similar dress to this and I'm totally inspired to break out the divine scissors and do the same now!! Haha, it definitely amps up the sexiness of the dress <3
And haha, who said that sneakers and combat boots don't go with slip dresses? You're most defiantly spitting in their face with this outfit, in which you look most spectacular. Cheers to breaking rules and refusing to follow them! 🙂

  2. It does look waaaaay sexier with the laces showing. I wonder why people put laces if they're not meant to show in the first place. Love the matchy-matchy color of your kimono and the shoes. Oh those shoes. I'd wear anything with my sneakers if I can too. Who cares about the rules.

  3. Yes girl!! People always have people to say geez… :/ At the end of the day it doesn't matter right? Just keep doing you!
Looking so pretty as usual, I love the look!!!

  4. Hahahahah oh no! NOT A HEALTHY SALAD THING! 😉 Gosh, I bet you feel all revitalized and stuff from it. I hope your survived after eating it.

Aaah I remember this slip and I love it. I would never think it looks so wonderful with sneakers, but you always have the most surprisingly and excellent combos, Keit!! 😀

Hmmmm… well my mom tells me I need to clean my room more, but I do that every week, but it's still never up to par with her standards. 😀 Does that count?

  5. I don't even own a slip dress so I wouldn't know how to begin wearing it. I would obviously look to you for inspiration. Haha <3 The closest thing I have is an Anthropologie night gown that I accidentally wore as a dress that one time on my blog (even though it turned out surprisingly OK haha). I wore flats with that, but I bet boots would be kick ass too. I'll have to do some experimenting. You look gorgeous, by the way (but I mean that just goes without saying) 😀 <3

  6. I wish I could be lazy sponge too but I love shopping so off to work I go, lol. I love your sassy fuck-your-face attitude! I think it's also one of the reasons why I love your blog SO much! Haha, my parents wanted me to go to a Catholic Nursing school for college but instead I dipped out to Kansas lol. Kinda of weird way to say screw you, but hey, I did it lol. I love the slip dress paired with the shoes and the kimono. The lace detailing is so cute! ♡

  8. As always I just want to be you when I see whatever you are wearing and your awesome styling. I love this dress with a kimono and platform sneakers and I'm convinced there is no better way to wear it, That is unless you come up with one and then I will be convinced there are two awesome ways to wear it,

  9. I say why follow rules & why listen to people? We gotta do what we gotta do!
Man! your Godly scissor skills have given character to your slip on.Dress+ kimono+sneakers all compliment each other.Thumps up from me Keit !

  10. I think the blue in your kimono and in your sneakers looks absolutely awesome and goes perfectly with the sexy dress. there's a nice balance in this outfit. everything works. oh and that's why I don't care what's fashionable. I think it's a stupid term. but anyway, what I refuse to do? hmm, I (stupidly) refuse to spend my vacations like they should be spent. I mean the ones I'm spending in Estonia. I run around, do something all the time and end up more stressed than before, haha. that's what I should seriously work on!

  11. I need to borrow your closet, for research. But seriously your clothes are so boss I'm always saying "oh my gosh she's awesome" every time I'm on your blog. The "too healthy" thing is on point, that's just another term for "no flavor" for me. Hope you enjoy your weekend girl!
