Floral Maxi Skirt With A Sexy Front Slit

All Personal Style
First time I’m using the word sexy in my blog post title! Way too often I don’t feel sexy, I feel rather like a meatball or a mashed potato instead of a hot potato. Ever since I was a kid I’ve felt more masculine than feminine, which isn’t to say I don’t enjoy being girly, and you all know my pink obsession, I just don’t feel sexy. It shows in the way I walk, the way I burp my beer and the way I wear a barbecue sauce stained t-shirt for three days in a row. Soooo, in the days when I feel sexy, I must be wearing something very special, (or nothing, wink wink) to feel that way.
In this case, it was something special. I picked up this floral number from Choies alongside with a generous amount of bracelets and this is one of those dresses which you can not NOT feel sexy in. First time I’m using a double negative too, I feel so fancy right now!

Okay, so you might be wondering what’s so special about this dress, well, did you see it? It wraps around the body like a second skin and the front slip flows on the sides exposing some white untanned flesh, bonus points if you have wind! Put on your shades, because Keit’s veiny white legs are making a tribute!

I love dresses that are tight on the right places – boobs, waist, hands; and more loose on the butt so I can leisurely wear grandma boxers without the fear that the dress might outline them. For this particular outfit I wore shorts underneath, but still, someday I’m going to be brave enough to wear it just with panties.
This is another reason I don’t consider myself feminine, buying underwear is a chore. The other day I was happily putting on my bra, which is practically disintegrated from years of reuse, when the boyfriend exclaimed “I should buy you some bras”… When the boyfriend suggests buying me underwear, you know things are getting pitiful.

I considered styling the dress with a faux fur collar, but since it’s my first time wearing it on the blog I decided to keep it simple and make the dress the main event. So instead I steered away from my Harajuku wannabe phase and wore it in a very basic way, but added a little bit of jewelry here and there to spice things up. Do you like?
Let me know in the comments, do you ladies consider yourself more feminine or masculine and why do you think that is?

  1. You're so funny. Love your bracelets and that dress is sexy and simple, which is a bonus. Love how it flashes your thighs when you walk. And, yea, you can't be wearing grandma panties with that. Lol.

  2. I love! You look awesome Keit and you have legs to die for. I don't consider myself very feminine either – I'm definitely not 'a girly girl' – but then again I spend a vast amount of time talking about lipstick, so who am I kidding?!

  3. Your posts always crack me. Honestly, sexy is pretty much the last thing on my mind, ever – I just get dressed and live life (and I admit, my husband has more than once suggested he should buy me some bras, so I feel your pain; shopping for them is just the worst and that time could be spent on napping.) Seriously though, this dress was meant for you. And that slit really is sexy 😉

  4. Hey foxy lady… I really laughed while reading this post, I love how you always make me laugh 🙂
This dress really looks good on you, and you do look sexy 🙂 Now I'm imagining you burping your beer – hahahaha I know the feeling 🙂 It's funny, you should see what I'm wearing right now (OK, this sounds akward) – big sweatpants (from my hubby, 'cause my ass is big as an elephant now), and oversize t shirt with ketchup stains – sounds sexy, doesn't it? hahahaha
    Have a great day :*

  5. The whole way you write is fancy :p
This dress is trully beautiful: fluid, feathery and show a nice amont of your goergerous self! I though you had a skirt underneath, but the short do the perfect trick (and allows to stay pratical, the base!).
The "sexy" concept is quite tricky, is it what society expect us to look like finaly!? There would be a painful psychological stuff to find under this idea (leading to: when do a man feel sexy? with a beard shaped? fancy trousers? -gonna investigate!) But anyhow, it really depends. Today, I am not sexy at all because I need enough confort to stay focus, but someday, I feel powerful and glowing (with some femenin clothes, a sweet make up or reaveling some skin, it depends) and it helps!
    Have a great day =)

  6. love that dress! For some reason, the fact that it has buttons down the front makes me like it even more. It's a rare dress that can make me feel "sexy"…being not very tall I usually feel cute–nothing like a statuesque beauty or anything like that!

  7. most definitely a big big big… LIKE. the dress and the background make an absolutely heavenly match. I also love your leather infused arm party and.. well, everything about that look is awesome. now, when it comes to being girly or masculine I guess I'm not very feminine or girly. it's just not in my nature since I spent my childhood only with boys. sometimes I make an effort towards more girliness. sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. when I'm at home I wear old sweatpants and sweatshirts, not always the cleanest, haha so I totally get what you're saying here. beer is also something that's not very girly I guess but who cares, right? oh, one more thing. I know quite a lot about cars and car trouble, also a far from feminine feature 😀

  8. Haha grandma boxers for the win! I'm loving that deep front slit- i can see why it makes you feel all hot 🙂 And that way you paired it with the boots was perfect- it's feminine and clunky. Awesome 🙂
