Choies Flower Headband

All Personal Style
Confession: Sometimes, (always), I overdress…
I wish I could say that I wore this dress to a special occasion, maybe a romantic dinner with Corporal Levi or a Fairy Conference, but alas, I wore it just so I could eat ice cream in it! But I can’t help myself, I dress fancy for EVERYTHING!
I love to play dress up, I love clothes, I love to think of different and new ways of creating outfits. It’s something that energizes me, inspires me, makes me happy. Plus, having almost no friends and rarely going out means, I dress for every stupid occasion I encounter, so excuuuuse me for eating ice cream and drinking beer with a flower crown on my head!

Okay, fashion wise, this dress was a real treasure trove! I found it in our local second hand store, just standing there, looking at me, being all graceful and shit! I got it for the measly sum of 6 bucks. The bust was too big for my modest chest area, so I had to take it to a grandpa who owns a tailoring workshop near our block. He did such an excellent job at sewing it, I bought him a bottle of brandy.
I mean, come on, look at this dress, how could you not want to intoxicate that grandpa with a few thousand bottles, it’s such a lovely dress!

The flower headband is from Choies and I think it’s the perfect addition for my new dress. I still feel kind of weird wearing flower crowns, I firmly believe they don’t suit me, but do I care? Nope.

See? This is the face of not caring!

The swarovski necklace was a gift from the chubby boyfriend, which I rarely wear, don’t know why, because I like shiny things so much! You already know the chunky boots, which I seem to be wearing with everything even if it’s considered inappropriate, and last bust not least, I tied the dress with a simple leather belt and voila ready for whatever the fuck I dressed up for!

What do you girlies think? Do you like?

  1. Wow, this might be my fave outfit of you so far!!! That dress is really a killer, I love all the vibrant colors and that flower crown really nails the look!

I love your attitude towards fashion, too! As a blogging buddy of mine always said: A day without dressing up is a day wasted! I think that's true and I dress up wherever I go!

  2. Amazing color on you!
I always over dress too-there's nothing wrong with being the best dressed in the room ever! Besides, you'll always be ready for when that fairy conference rolls around!

  3. So totally wrong about flower crowns not suiting you. What would you know anyway, we are the ones looking at you!
That is a uber mega amazing dress! Definitely needs to be worn everywhere for at least a week, until all the shine wears off. That tailor did a great job. And your styling with the crown, shiny necklace(definitely deserves more wears), and boots is mistressful…as in masterful! XO JJ

  4. Lovelovelove this bright shiny color on you, girl. And I think it's just really reasonable to dress "extraordinary" for random activities – because otherwise you just have rare occasions. And fancy rocks. Always! 😀

  5. Omg, can't believe you found that gorgeous dress in a secondhand store! And for 6 bucks… Bargain. And liiieeeees, you look gorgeous in that flower crown! x

  6. The dress is adorable, good pick, and the grandpa must have been the happiest about it at the end xD I love Swarovski too, but it's a bit too expensive for me for something that is not gold or silver, but I probably own a few if I had money to spear. The headband is great, great outfit overall 🙂 Lots of love

  7. AHMAGASH! Overdressing is the best! Because then you know you are always lookin' #1 in a group of people, so at least you can feel slightly more awesome, yeah? The shimmeryness of that dress is so astounding. It's very futuristic and if you travelled into the future I'm sure people would more readily accept you if you wore that.:D

  8. I think a special date with ice-cream deserves fancy dressing. 🙂 I think the best part about that dress is the color. It's so interesting and has multi tones.

I always have to resize the bust area too, unfortunately I dont know any skilled grandpa who can get the tailoring right.

  10. Hahaha… we're kindred spirits, then. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who gets dressed up to have coffee or buy groceries. I try to dress for the occasion as much as possible, but sometimes you just want to wear whatever the fuck, you know? That our right. So, if you want to look baller while eating an ice cream, then you do that! 😀 You do look baller, by the way. Amazing dress!

  12. I feel you with the hardly having any friends and therefore having nowhere to go. I dress up for no reason too! I just love thee awesome purple color of this dress you found. It's so pretty on you! I think the floral crown looks fantastic with it!

  13. First of all I love your sense of adventure, you will try anything at least once and somehow make it work for you. I think it is super cool that you just felt like dressing up, being fancy and eating ice cream with it, more people should have this magical want to feel happy, fancy and not just wait for especial occasions. great pairing with the boots xx

  14. This dress looks so similar to one I borrowed from a friend to wear to another friend's high school graduation – I had to do a double take when the page first loaded because I thought it must be the same one. I must say, though, your outfit is a lot better than the one I wore that night. My feet would have been so much more comfortable in those chunky boots and, well, a floral crown makes everything better 🙂

PS: Hoping to maybe get back to Bulgaria next year and if I do, I'll definitely let you know so we can go for a drink or two.

    LOVE!!!!!
the dress is a stunner, you look fantastic in it and the flower crown! the tailoring grandpa did a very good job, i know from own experience that altering such dresses is really difficult.
i´m always overdressed too – its my nature 🙂
    xx

  16. Um, this dress is amazing!! Totally worth every bit of brandy. And you look fantastic, of course. I also feel weird wearing flower crowns, even though I think they look awesome on others. Maybe one day I'll find a way to pull it off. But yeah, this whole look is gorgeous. I love the shoes, too. 🙂

  17. I LIKE!
Haha, and I feel like I overdress all the time, but who cares? People just don't find the creative release we're able to find in clothes. I find it incredibly enjoyable to use clothes as a form of artistic expression.
And to me, the floral crown and flowing dress just scream to be worn for a beer and some chips 😉

  18. well, this look definitely suits you. the fancy dress, cute flower crown, everything. and that flower crown looks especially lovely next to your dark brown hair. but not everyone can wear a dress like that when she heads out to have ice cream. many would look funny/strange/overdressed I think. but not you, you rock it!
