Choies Stripe Cropped Top & A Tale of Crazy Parents

All Personal Style
Sorry for not being active on your blogs girlies, but I’ve been away to visit my crazy parents. I haven’t seen them in months and I was preoccupied with being spoiled, because I was born. Yay!
My mother is a crazy woman. When I was a teenager she was the person to go out at night, with pajama and slippers, to “look for me“, because apparently being 10 minutes late meant: “died somewhere in the gutters“. One time she thought I was snorting cocaine, because I had a runny nose and constantly had to sniff my flowing snots. If I started exercising, she assumed I was turning anorexic. So immediately the table would be cluttered with thousands of meatballs, dozen different salads and three types of cake, just to check if I would eat it.

But she’s not just crazy, she’s the kind of selfless mother that would rather arrange your underwear in an alphabetical order, than to do something to enjoy herself. She represents everything modern feminism detests. So when I heard she made a “garden” in our block’s transformer station I had an urge to share it with you guys. We live on the 3rd floor and our transformer is right underneath the balcony. I’m scared shittles going down there, but mom isn’t. She just goes down a ladder, making dad regret he even placed that damn ladder in the first place…

See?

Told you she was crazy!
Is it just me, or are your parents crazy too? Let me know if your family can compete with mine on the level of craziness!

Fashiony part: Who here likes the “Nightmare on Elm Street” series?…I don’t! But I like Freddy Krueger’s shirt, so I used it as an inspiration for this look. I had difficulties with the tights, because the hole you see now, wasn’t as big in the beginning…
In the beginning, the hole was created…! (did you caught the reference? I’m so funny, right!?) Anyways, with the process of walking, the hole began to enlarge and in the end of the day I had a huge perfectly round planet on my leg. I still think it’s cool though!

Btw, the lovely Katarina from the awesome blog Dare 2 Wear interviewed me for her blog’s lounge section.  If you’d like to know more about yours truly, be sure to stop by her blog! ^_^

  1. I think your mom's garden-like thingie is so adorable! I'm not kidding by the way. but when it comes to crazy relatives then unfortunately I do have some and they're not crazy in a good way. instead they're crazy in a rather annoying and disturbing way but that's not the place for sharing stuff like that, haha ๐Ÿ˜€ oh and your crop top does remind me of that horror film. it sure does!

    Maiken,
Maikeni blogi – part of me

  2. Love the socks and tights paired together ๐Ÿ™‚ Plus with those boots, just perfect!
I like Nightmare on Elm Street, those are horror movies and not this shit they make today.
Freddy Krueger's stripes are timeless XD

  3. Hahah, I was burning incense when I was a teen and my mom thought I was smoking weed ๐Ÿ˜€ :D! Love the lil garden ๐Ÿ™‚
Your outfit is perfect as always – you can even make the hole in the tights look good :D. The bag is a living legend ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. OMG , that garden is the cutest thing ever. And I can totally relate, my mom literally could't sleep until she would hear me enter the house all throughout high school.
Totally love your shirt and the hole in your tights <3

  6. I love your mum! I totally get her mum thinking! She loves you. If I go out somewhere with my son and I'm driving and I drop him off at his place, I sit there in my car until I seem him get safely inside. My son is big and strong. He is much safer walking around in this world than I am. Again, if we are in the car and I have to brake suddenly, I will fling my arm out and across him to protect him. That makes him laugh. My arm is not going to save his life and hopefully his seatbelt will but still I do it. He will always be my baby and I will always risk my life to protect him,
Your mum's garden is awesome and so is the very lovely circle hole in your tights. I like circles. Okay now I'm going to go and read more about you.

  7. That little garden is awesome! Your mom is a lady after my own heart. I have a "garden" now in the window box outside our living room and on the small patio outback.

My mom was the type to be like "I prefer to know where you are if you're gonna drink so I don't mind buying you beer." Ya, she bought me wine coolers and dropped me off at my first party! She still thinks I have secret anorexia, but mostly cuz it runs in our family. My aunts, my grandma, my great-aunts, my sister, all had their share of eating disorders :/

  8. Dude! That is one crazy garden! I especially like that fairy ring-esque circle of rocks. Pretty cool. My parents are actually pretty normal parent dudes. They just flirt a TON inappropriately in public, but I think that's hilarious so it's not a bad quality or anything. Like the other week my dad said loudly in a craft store, "hmm, where is the green stick felt? I want to find some and cut out shamrocks for your mother's breasts." Nothing weird and embarressing about 'em, nope!

Aaah socks and boots. Is there a better combo than that? And I just love that horse bag!! ๐Ÿ˜€

&& hehe, I recently discovered pigtails. THEY ARE TOTALLY CUTE

  9. You mom sounds like the kind of mom everyone would want. ๐Ÿ˜€ She sounds really cool and it seem like she loves you fiercely. It made me laugh reading about how she'd go looking for you in her jimmy jams. My mom would call all of my friends and blow up everyone's phone if I was late coming home. She's stay up waiting for me and not get any sleep. When I was a teen, I thought she was crazy and prone to overreacting. Looking back, I'm glad that I had someone in my life who cared about me that much. ๐Ÿ˜›

Oh and every time I see you with that bag, I get so envious! Haha. I waaaaaaant iiiiiiiiit. <3 Great boots, too!

  10. Haha! My parents are definitely a bit crazy too, and I'm starting to realize that I may have picked up on some of that crazy which worries me!! ๐Ÿ˜€
Your mother's garden is so cute. I love the little nicknacks around, like the duckies sitting on the side ๐Ÿ™‚ darling!
Your bag is probably the best bag ever made. It is so quirky and fun!

  11. i seriously love every single one of your outfits. gimme your closet! and haha my mom was (is) definitely the over protective type, too. I kinda love that about her though, it's adorable. last year i moved across america and she'd literally call me every day, even if we had absolutely nothing to talk about. she just wanted to hear me breathe through the phone. they're the best ๐Ÿ™‚
